Participants will learn various tactics and skills needed for playing volleyball on a competitive level. Objectives: To learn the rules and skills to play volleyball. To learn the importance of training hard, working as a team and competing in a fair manner. Language of instruction will be English.

Athletic Conference of Singapore International Schools
Students of this CCA may be selected by the coach to join the competitive team in the respective age group in order to represent GESS at ACSIS league events. Please visit sports.gess.sg for more information about our school teams and next year’s ACSIS competitions.


Kunimi Bermudez: Kunimi is an Early Years Teacher who has worked in Japan and China. As a student, she represented her school in volleyball, baseball, and athletics. She has coached volleyball to groups ranging from beginners to Varsity. Her teams show commitment, teamwork, and the capacity to play in different positions, but most importantly, they enjoy playing volleyball. Coach Kunimi is looking forward to seeing many of you joining her CCA to grow together as a team.

Marcus Nordström is an Athletic Teacher at GESS Secondary European section. Athletic has been a large part of his life since he was young and growing up in Sweden gave him lots of opportunities to participate in sports every day. Marcus is looking forward to creating an environment where the students can get competitive and have fun at the same time, as well as learn good sportsmanship.
