Musical Extravaganza!

Do you like to sing? Dance? Act? Set/costume design? All students from Grade 4-8 are invited to join the musical theatre CCA for Production 2020. It promises to provide plenty of opportunities for all the above, with a grand production of "the Lion King" slated for May/June 2020. Please note that students who are enrolled in this CCA are expected to attend a number of rehearsals outside CCA hours which will be determined by the instructors. Language of instruction will be English.


SARAH THOMAS has co-directed several school musical productions for primary students, including “the Ramayana”, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, “Snake Eyes” (an original production) and “Peter Pan”, “The Jungle Book”. and "Caught in the Act". She enjoys working with students and teachers to workshop scripts, dramatic staging, and to develop choral and instrumental musical contributions, choreography, and costumes. She is looking forward to a great year working on a new piece.

TERRY MORAN is Head of Music at GESS and teaching in the European Section. He has been at the school for over 13 years and has co-directed several school musical productions for primary students. Over his teaching career he’d participated in community ensembles and musicals in Australia.
