There will be two groups of students in the Robotics CCAs. Students who have completed at least a year of Lego robotics at GESS (or another school) or who have their own Lego Mindstorms kit at home and have created various projects over a year or more are invited to sign up for the advanced group. All others would be placed in the beginner's level. The instructors will assess and place the students in their appropriate level.

Requirements: Students should be highly motivated and interested in all IT things and should be able to work within project groups. Language of instruction will be English with German speaking instructor present.

My name is Joram Hutchins and I grew up in Tasmania, a small but beautiful part of the world. This will be my 9th year working at GESS, where I work as the Primary Years Programme Coordinator. My job very engaging as I get to work closely with all the members of staff to plan and develop our school curriculum and pedagogical practices. My wife Jo Hutchins is the swimming teacher at GESS and our three boys, Flynn (7), Daniel (5) and Asher (3) all go to school here. We have lived in Singapore for 13 years now and find it a fun and safe city to raise a young family. A few of my personal interests include mountain biking, reading, hiking and travel.

Kia Ora! My name is Scott Holland. I was born and educated in New Zealand and travel beckoned after graduating and it has taken me to teach in South Korea, England, Hong Kong and Singapore. This is my second time teaching in Singapore after having spent five and a half years here earlier in my career. I have two children, both who were born in Singapore and will be joining GESS in Grade One and Kindergarten. My wife is also joining the GESS team as a Grade One teacher. My interests are travel, snowboarding and swimming.
