Semester 1 Programme | Cost: $260

Lights! Camera! Action! We all watched movies at home. The Avengers, Batman, Lord of the Rings, the LEGO Movie to name a few. But have you ever wondered where the magic happens and how? In the GESS Film Club, you will learn all the techniques directors and cameramen use in order to make a good movie. Learning how to set the scene, storyboard your own ideas and bring them to life behind a camera (or in our case, the ipad). The children will be creating their own stories and visions, using the full potential of technology and their own imagination, making them full-fledged movie makers in their own right. They will watch movie clips, learn how to use various apps that are still used in cinema today like the green screen and imovie. We'll even be working with animation such as cartoons and stop motion as well. It doesn't matter how much experience you have, every one of us have the potential of bringing our vision to the big screen.
