Badminton (Skills)

Year-Long Programme | Cost: $520

Students will learn Badminton basics for recreational Badminton play as well as advanced techniques for competition. These lessons will cover footwork (specialized movement on the Court), serves & smashes and also keeping score in a game. Students will have the opportunity to join the ACSIS competitive team with recommendation from the coach. Mandatory Competitive Sports Uniform to be purchased for each ACSIS selected player(70$/Uniform). Extra Trainings and League Games may happen during weekends. Students are expected to bring their own badminton racket to every session. Language of instruction will be English.


With a little break, Melanie is working since 3 years for GESS in the First Aid Department. She is originally from Belgium where she was teaching in a Nursing School and part time working in the A&E department. Being a certified Badminton coach, she was coaching the youth team of BSV Eynatten in the French-speaking part of Belgium and also played competition games with the Mixed Team in Division 3. Melanie may be supported by a professional coach from S5 Prosports.
